預科就讀於新加坡萊福士音樂學院, 師從新加坡國寶級鋼琴家王力達 (Ong Lip Tat) 教授, 本科就讀於維吉尼亞聯邦大學, 師從迪米奇•斯坦伯格 (Dimitri Steinberg) 以及鄭瑩(Yin Zheng)教授, 研究生就讀於雪蘭多音樂學院, 師從柯蒂斯室內樂教授愛娃•耶爾克巴維處特 (Ieva
Jokubavicute)。2017年高博獲得美國天主教大學博士學位全額獎學金, 以及擔任聲樂, 指揮教研室助教. 師從天主教大學鋼琴系主任，貝森朵夫藝術家依沃•卡爾切夫 (Ivo Kaltchev)。
在亞洲, 北美多處舉辦個人獨奏會, 例如長沙音樂廳, 里士滿城市圖書館, 里士滿Singleton音樂廳, 溫切斯特Armstrong音樂廳, 華盛頓Ward獨奏音樂廳, 華盛頓肯尼迪藝術中心, 新加坡維多利亞音樂廳, 以及濱海藝術中心。曾獲得維吉尼亞MGLS國際協奏曲比賽亞軍, 以及維吉尼亞MTNA鋼琴比賽冠軍, 並收到MGLS基金會贊助的2016藝術家獎學金. 2018年成為中國公派留學生「藝術類特別人才」, 獲得中國教育部的資助留學. 2019年獲得CUA協奏曲比賽冠軍, 以及受駐美使館邀請擔任「中美留學40週年」留學生代表錄制紀錄片, 以及與長沙交響樂團錄制雲端黃河並在央視播出.
目前任教於湖南師範大學音樂學院, 並長期活躍於鋼琴大師課及各類音樂節, 例如美國鋼琴教育家James Litzelman, 美國鋼琴家OrienWeiss, 愛爾蘭鋼琴家John O’ Connor, 以及美國鋼琴家Richard Goode.
Pianist Bo Gao enjoys perfroming throughout the U.S, and Asia, he has held recitals in musical centers such as Esplanade, and Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, Hartke Theater, and Kennedy Center in Washington DC, ChangSha Concert Hall and Beijing Concert Hall in China. He Currently serves as an Associate Professor of piano in Hu Nan Normal University
school of music.
Natively from Hu Nan, he attend Singapore Raffles Music College for pre-college, then he earned bachelor and master degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, Shenandoah Conservatory in the state of Virginia, and Doctoral degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. He studied under the guidance of Ong Lip Tat Demitri Shteinberg, Yin Zheng, Ieva Jokubaviciute, and Ivo Kaltchev. Prize winner of the 2016 MTNA National Piano Competition, and MGLS concerto competition in the US, he also receieved Chinese National Scholarship for studying abroad from the Chinese Goverment, becoming a member of “Special Talent in Fine Arts” progarm. In 2019 he won the first prize of CUA concerto competiiton, and being interviewed by the
Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, his performance and documentry were recorded in “40 years Diplomacy between China and the U.S.” program. In 2020 His Yellow River Concerto with CSO was brodcasted on CCTV and Shanghai SMG.
Currenlty Mr. Bo Gao is teaching, performning, giving lecture in many institutions and music festivals, and participates in masterclass held by American pianist Richard Goode, OrienWeiss, Irish Pianist John O’ Conner, and American pedagogue James Litzelman.
